Michael G. Hasel, PhD (University of Arizona)
is Professor of Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology at the School of Religion, Southern Adventist University and director of the Institute of Archaeology and Lynn H. Wood Archaeological Museum. He has published ten books and over 150 articles and book reviews in peer-reviewed journals, dictionaries and encyclopedias. He has appeared on documentaries for National Geographic, AnchorPoint Films, 3ABN, and the Hope Channel. His work in the Middle East as an archaeologist spans over 30 years at eleven sites and currently he is co-director of The Fourth Expedition to Lachish. He is German-American and has lived on three continents.
Giselle Sarli Hasel, MFA (Savannah College of Art and Design)
is a professor of Art History and Illustration at the School of Visual Art and Design, Southern Adventist University and coordinator of the John C. Williams Gallery of Art. She has published two books and is currently working on a textbook God and Art: Art Criticism and Philosophy from a Christian Worldview. In addition, she has provided illustrations for Review and Herald, Pacific Press, Harvard University Press, Eerdmans, Eisenbrauns, Lexham, and Tübingen University Press. She is passionate about connection art and religious movements within a Great Controversy perspective. She is Brazilian and has lived on four continents. They have two grown daughters, Daniella and Sarah.
